Default what to set timming at ???

ok i have an f cam shaved heads (stock) ported upper and lower stock intake. and 65 mm thb

should it be at 14 or 12 or ??

Start at 10 and work your way up. When she starts to ping, drop it 1 and you are set

ok sorry ackbar i should have said that my car was pulling in every gear hard. but i went and moved my distributer about 1/4 of an inch and it stoped pulling hard like no pull at all now tryed to move it back and still not pulling ( i didnt use a light then )

but i went and set it with a light today and still not pulling could even have ben my timming?

did u check it w/ the spout disconnected?

yep checked it with the spout out.
oh and forgot to mention that its really really hard to start just when i crank it over

Hook up a timing light to eliminate any guessing about where the timing might be at. 1/4" could be as much as 3-4* of timing. It seems that most people run between 12-16* of base timing.

Base timing is w/o the spout connector.
