Default 1/4 window moldings

i was woundering how hard it is to change the 1/4 window moldings on my car

do i need to take the plastic off on the inside of my hatch and back seat to get at them.
and i heard you need to bye new windows is this true??

they are a B#itch... You have to remove the entire window to get to the molding.. Its a hard job I hear. If not done right they leak. I would recommend getting them done at a glass shop.. thats my .02 cents.

It's true, you can only get the moldings by buying all new glass. It's a major PITA.

Howevery Steeda makes a set of covers that look good. They're like $99 bucks.

i have seen those covers do you know how they work are they just glued on to the old ones ??

My buddy bought those, they glue on, kinda cheesy, if there shot bad, get the new units.. Its the best way to go.
