Question Go for the S-trim?

Hey all. A good friend of mine is selling his S-trim for a twin-turbo setup. My question is if I should just suck it up and buy the S-trim from him. The blower would be for the first car in my sig, so it would be pretty nasty. He said he would sell it to me for $1800 for everything, and help me install it. The blower has about 500 miles use max. It is an older v-1 that was rebuilt before he got it; the thing is mint and makes awesome power. The only things I would have to buy are an FMU and a 8LB pulley, because I wouldn't want to run the 15LB's that he ran. What do you guys think? And how much would it run me for the extra two items listed above? I just want the opinion of as many people as possible (I'm afraid of that little $hit that goes wrong when you go to the next step...)

Are you bonkers....grab it, at least it's a S trim, and not an A trim..see if he'll go a bit lower for a friend...that blower would be killer with the combo you already have.

I'd run the 15lb as well, you have the better heads, and intake..just upgrade your fuel system, and get the FMU. You may want to sell/trade your 24#'ers for a set of 30# injectors if you go with 15#..

Just my opinion, I REALLY wanted a blower, but now I'm after N/A high hp.

If it runs as good as you say, i'd go for it. If you decide you don't want it later you could turn around and sell it for a little more somewhere. Light Em Up!!

That swhat I has thinking, too. I like the reliability of my combo, and I don't want to jeopardize that by going to the next step. I have a tendancy to go too far. And his asking price was 2300, the 1800 with the installation help is the "friendly" price

Anybody else want to give an opinion. As much as I want to do this, I think I need more convincing. I am about 3 seconds away from calling him, but something is still stopping me. I guess I'm just chicken.

Don't pass up a deal like that! The S-trim is an awesome blower and reliable as hell. I'm sure you can find a number of guys willing to sell their stock 3.33" (8psi) pulley dirt cheap. Same with FMU's. In fact, I'll sell you my FMU cheap.
