Angry C-4 Help???

I have a ATI Comp trans that is about 1500 miles old. It has all the goodies except the trans brake. The other day I got into my car and it wouldn't go into Reverse. So i pushed the car out and went from 1st,2nd, but when i went to 3rd it stayed in 2nd. I checked my shift linage and its woking fine. the fluid is not burt and is extremely clean. I don't see how I could drive it one day and the next it be shot.
Please help if you can.

Thanks

I had that problem except my fluid was low. Even a 1/2 a qt. is enough to do it. Check your fluid and good luck.

Angry

Thanks for the help. I checked the fluid again and it was full. I tried even adding a quart of fluid and still nothing. Before I added the quart it went in to reverse once. Then I added it and nothing. I even disconnected the shifting linkage and manually shifted it, but still nothing.

Anybody go any more ideas.

Thanks
