Default smog specs 89 mustang lx

Hey fellas,
Im new here and in a jam. I just bought a 89 5.0 lx form florida and shipped it out here to hollywood ca. I didnt realize they took all smog legal stuff out. SO question one is can anyone tell me where i can get the smog schematics or smog specs for the car. Number two can u give me a list of what i need to put it back to smog legal standards by using high performance kits (dont want to loose the power i have now) Im told that shorty headers with o2 cut out is fine and high flow cats r legal too can u guys make it easy for me? help!!

OK you need O2 sensors regardless, if you start adding Emissions stuff you will loose the HP, if your worried about inspections, find a race shop and get it inspeced.. no one likes the smog stuff.. I would never reinstall it.

you're screwed. CA has the worst smog laws, as you should know already...

you need stock H pipe, (4 cats) and all the stock smog stuff. Buy a Haynes or Chiltons manual and go junkyard diving. Or, you could get a po box in san bernidino co and register the car out there, no smog....
