Default What is the difference between a A9L and a A9S?

What is the difference between a A9L and a A9S?

So what is the deal? I tried a google search and only could find that the A9S is a Ca 88-93 computer. Is there any pros or cons with this computer? I ask, because we took my buddys computer out, and found out that he had a A9S instead of the A9L. Just saying what people know

the a9l came before the a9s in the ford cumputer family. I beleive the a9l has a little more aggressive fuel curve and mass air flow curve then the a9s. Go to www.tweecer.com, people on this web site talk ford computers and know the differance between the familys for mustang.

A9L = 5spd
A9S = AOD

A9S has a more aggressive fuel which if used in a 5spd delivers more HP. plus it doesn't drop the timing during shift as much as the A9L does.
