Default Do Cobra Heads have EGR Bumps?

I just purchase a set of (real) GT-40 heads with the 3 bars, and I noticed that they do have any egr bumps in the exhaust ports. Does this mean that they were ported, or do GT40 heads already come from the factory without the bumps?

Default Re: Do Cobra Heads have EGR Bumps?

Well, since noone else has posted their knowledge, I will toss in my 2 cents.

I got hold of a set of gt-40p heads (with the 3 bars) from a fellow who had some basic porting work done to them. Now I went in to further port them. I noticed that there were no egr bumps but there were little recesses where the bumps would have been. These recesses did not have the holes in them however and neither were there any front and back injection holes on the head faces.

So if you dont have egr bumps but have the recesses without holes in them then that, I guess, is what they are supposed to look like!

Thanks for the reply. I do notice that there's a little hole where the egr bumps should have been. So my guess is that they have been ported.
