Default Re: Carb has too much idle hole drilled?

Thanks everyone!

PKRWUD mentioned the brakleen actually.

It turns out that the 600 DP COMES drilled from the factory says ricky from holley. The vacuum is still lower than before ....like 16-17 at it's peak but it idles great anyway.

Funny thing is....if I open the secondary idle side at _all_, the motor wants to die. any turn yields a drop in rpm's and vacuum.

I'm getting some MAC 1 5/8 auto longtubes cause I'm sick of mangling knuckles on shorties. The studs fell out on the pass side and I cant get it to seal. I even used RTV on it but no good. I have a bassani X-pipe with removable front sections that slide out and are clamped. I'll just slide them out, hack them shorter to mate with the lungtubes. That project might wait for a while and I'll just drive around with the chopper sound.

Thanks all for helping out!

Go sox!
