What is that square thing on solenoid?
silver/black thing on the starter solenoid little box?

Yeah I think you do.
Without it my car wont start with the key but will if I jump the solenoid.

hmm, mine was throwing sparks (corroded wire)so i loosened one of the nuts and rigged it in there, works fine now, but i'll replace it i guess.
