Default Engine Dies?

This weekend i tired to break in my cam, but about 30 seconds into the break-in the motor died so i started it back up and brought up the rpms and 20-30 seconds into the break-in the motor died again. Im a little lost on where to go from here. If you can please help me out, Thanks.

I had the balancer at 30 degrees before top dead center then i dropped the distributor in with it a touch advanced.

my setup is: 351w: 10:8:1 compression
Mighty Demon 750 carb
Victor jr. intake
Victor jr. heads
comp cams hydraulic flat tappet: 250, 256 duration @ 50 degrees
554, 558 lift.
MSD billet distributor (21 degrees mechanical advance)
MSD 6a box
MSD coil

Default Re: Engine Dies?

did you convert it from fuel injection to carb? if so are you still running the in tank fuel pump? or did you hook up your other electric fuel pump to the original wires for the original fuel pump? if you did this it could be running out of gas becasue the original fuel pump is on a relay and doesn't run constantly.. you need a constant power to the fuel pump so it runs continuosly.. Maybe this will help.. only thing i can think of right now..
