Default Got my driveshaft loop today...question

I got my Lakewood driveshaft loop today but I'm a little confused about exactly where it goes.
The instructions say just behind the tranny tailshaft but that doesn't make sense. I thought it was supposed to be mounted 6 inches behind the front U-joint in case the front U-joint breaks and you don't end up doing a pole vault over the finish line.
So is it front or rear?

6 inches past the tailhousing and 'just behind the front u-joint' should be 1 in the same. Or thereabouts. Give yourself another inch. If you get the loop too close, it will be a pita to get the trans in. In my buddies 88 which was set up for a glide, we have to pick the back of the trans up and put it through the loop, then push the trans forward in to the bellhousing.
