Question Can a magnet damage digi ignition?

I have the MSG digital 6plus ignition in my room all new in the box well my bro had set his 15" subwoofer on the box magnet facing down probably for a day or so, can this damage the MSD ignition?

Don't believe so. The units are solid state; now if it was a programmable 7-series I'd say there's a possibility. The MSD tech line is extremely friendly. Call them and see what they say.

As a studying EE, I'd say there's no possibility of damage. It'd take one helluva EMI or ESD to knock out an MSD box, based on the reasoning that an MSD box is controlling an inductor (ignition coil) with several times the voltage and frequency it was designed for.

Okay enough technical rhetoric. It's going to be fine. A speaker's magnet by iteself is insignificant, IMPO.
