I ran my codes today after a lot of problems with my car. I got
34, 44, and 79. Ok what do I do now?? I know it has to do with my emissions stuff but how do I fix it? ------------------ 92 GT Convertible K&N, Hooker Headers, H-Pipe, Flow Masters, B&M Holeshot 3k converter, 4.10s, BBK 1.5 drop, 73mm Vortech Mass air, 65 FMS TB, B&M Super Cooler trans cooler, FMS Aluminum radiator And a Small Blow Job |

34 is EGR Valve Position (EVP) sensor or Pressure Feedback EGR (PFE) sensor: sensor voltage out of self test specification limits, or,
signal voltage above closed limit during normal engine run operation, or, signal indicates insufficient EGR flow. 44 is Problems in the Thermactor Air Control system. 79 is Air conditioner on during self test. Now, some of these are self explanatory and some like the egr stuff I have no clue, but mine causes the same codes! Good luck.. I gave up on trying to fix those codes about two years ago! ------------------ Joe! 1988 GT, 167,000 miles!!! 13.71@105mph Check out my listing! Click here! the first two codes can be caused by a broken vacumme line from the intake to the solonides on the passenger side strut tower. check these lines for cracks and repair as nessary. the egr code can also be caused by the egr valve just plain wearing out. ive had to replace them befor for this probem. make shure you replace the valve and sensor at the same time. these codes should not cause any probems with how your car drives. so if your car has some driving probems then you need to look else where.
