thats what I was going to say!

Don’t listen to anyone that argues the rod-to-stroke crap. That’s only brought up by 331 owners because they want to justify paying money for their stroker motor when they could have had 16 more cubes for the same money.
331 vs 347 with the same H/C/I, compression, piston weight, etc, the 347 will make more power, across the board, EVERY time

As far as your hp goals go, its not impossible to make a solid 390-400rwhp setup with the right parts on a 347. I’d suggest a pair of Vic Jr’s, a custom cam from Ed Curtis or Jay Allen, and a Holley Systemax or RPM II intake. That should get you there, and with the right suspension and tires, COULD get you some high 10’s NA, but low 11’s should be easy if you can drive the thing.
