Default 1984 "L" Mustang??

Anyone have any info on a 1984 Mustang "L" ---Not an LX just an "L"... Has 5.0 and a 5 speed.... Looking to buy it.... I've never heard of the "L"--just the LX ...Could this be a Limited edition??? The 5.0 has a 4 bbl carb and what looks like late '80's factory headers....

Thanks for any info

Dan

Maybe the "X" fell off.

I know its not the answer you were looking for but all I could think of.

Seriously I have never heard of it but my knowledge of pre 87 stangs isnt the best.

I'm pretty sure the "L" model for early fox bodies was the base model
Motor an the Body...thats about all you paid for.
Could be rare seeing Ive never seen one

The Mustang L was the base model and most of them were 4 bangers, a 5.0 Mustang L may actually be pretty rare.

The Mustang L only came in the 2 door coupe or "trunk model" as some call them. There was the L, the LX and the GLX. The 5.0 Mustang L was a favorite of the Police and Highway Patrol persuit cars. No frills, just a basic Mustang with a 5.0 engine, all business.
