Default intake maddness

my car pulled 430 on the dyno with 125 shot with the first eldabrock performer intake. how much more can u expect 2 gain with the holley systemax,do u think it will help or dont mess with my combination because it works pretty good

I like the systemax design, it's similar to the old school Vortech intakes, which is what I run....extrude honed of course..

You could pay to get yours ported and polished instead of paying for a new systemax though. You know for sure you'll see a gain with the port and polish, but you won't know if there will be a gain with the Holley until you buy it and try. Good luck.

i have a 89 lx with stock 302 with twisted wedge heads. it has a75 tb 24inj 73 massair.it runs 7.39 at 100 ,with 125 shot of gas. with a 1.67 60ft. how can i get a better sixty.

yea this setup makes 430 2 the wheels dynoed it last thursday at carolina auto masters.330 on motor 430 on 125 shot. the best time was 7.39 but cant run no more till i get a cage

Cool I didnt realize that a larger throttle body, injectors, and heads would give you that much HP without a cam change or using roller rockers. I do belive that a stock 5.0 with mass air makes 215 hp. Doing the math you got 115 HP out of your mods with out using the 125 shot. What exhust and headers our you using ? Just curious trying to figure out what all I,am going to change on my 88. How big of a fuel pump you running ? (liters per hour)

i got a compcam ,1.7 rockers ,255 in tank pump,long tube bbk. if u live in nc i got a good mechanic that is cheap

Sry I wasnt seein how you could get that kinda HP out of what you were listing. With the cam and the rockers thats great. I do all my work myself. The only time any of my cars go to the shop is for tire work or front end alinement. Looks like you got a good setup going, good luck!
