coil mounting location ?
I found a perfect spot to mount my blaster 2 coil. On the drivers side head. Would the coil get damaged because of too much heat or vibration.

Re: coil mounting location ?
I don't particularly like to put them there but it is ok. I have seen a lot of cars with the coil mounted there. It is mounted there on my F-150. I like it better on the fender somewhere to get it out of the way for when I am working on the car. I would say that you would want your bracket to be pretty sturdy to reduce vibration.

Re: coil mounting location ?
If you plan on racing, some tech inspectors like to see the coil mounted as close to the dizzy as possible.
Why...I don't know.

Re: coil mounting location ?
I've got a set of ford racing wires and they came with two types of coil wire. The shorter wire is a socket type fit into the coil, and the longer wire has a adapter fit onto your tfi type coil. The shorter wire doesn't like to stay on the coil real well, and to use the longer wire I have to put some cheap adapter that I got from msd on the coil. It is a plastic tower with a bolt in it with some fine wire wraped around the bolt head. But I think the short wire is the way to go. I guess if the coil takes a crap I'll just have to get another one and move it farther away from heat and vibration.
