Installed new stroker, won't run right, Help!!
I just finished installing my new 331 tonight, everything went pretty good but the car now won't idle very good, requires stepping on the gas alittle to start (not like before),hunts for idle and it also dies sometimes after quick deceleration. The check engine light also just came on and won't go away. We played with the timing (it seem's to like 13 degrees, and the fuel pressure is at about 41psi (we tried 48psi but that was terrible). I also installed a new pro-M mass air meter w/matching motosport 24psi injectors. I have not installed the new fuel pump yet. The vacuum lines look to be installed properly, and I took my old chip out of the CPU which is now back to stock until I can get back to the dyno for tuning after break-in. Any idea's??? My 1991 GT started like dream before and the e-cam had a nice tone( I re-used it in the stroker). Now the car kinda sucks and is a hard starting, crappy idling, miserable mess. Help!!!

Have you check for a vacume leak?? PCV, intake gaskets, etc
I'd check that first.

The check engine light is telling you what's wrong, or at least part of it. Get it scanned, and let us know what it is. Also, the check engine light WON'T go away, until the problem is fixed, and the history codes are cleared.

Check your TPS voltage.

Re: Installed new stroker, won't run right, Help!!
Code 31 came up, I think it had to do with the EGR, nothin too serious though. It is harder to start though, is it normal to have to give the car a little gas to start it with a larger engine??? I though the fuel injection should be able to compensate even for the 331?? Maybe I need more timing and less fuel pressure??? Current is 13 degrees and 43psi. I'm thinking some dyno tuning will really help me out because I took my old chip out for now via my tuner's recommendation.
