Default stock radiator crapp??

How good will the stock radiator cool a motor, say, 302 h/c/i 125 wet shot, c4 trans with a 3800 stall, 373 gears? im posting for a friend, he has one of those good trans cooler's with a fan on it, replaced thermo with a 160, still overheats? but only while driving, idling it runs cool? stall too big? remember the tranny cooler is working fine.

also, he had a nitrous backfire prior to this, i was thinking blown head gasket, but everything else seems fine, no water in the oil. seems it started after the c4 conversion? could his timing cause this?

thnx for any help.

umm k, you also have aluminum heads, and im assuming a 5spd,

stock radiators are crap, i think they work alright if your stock, or aluminum head, and no a/c, this guy has 10:1 cmprsn, iron heads and a/c, also his trans cooler sits in front of his radiator, maybe restricting airflow?

anyway i guess he's getting a bigger radiator, but i'll post an update.
