![]() Thanks for the responses, guys. I mentioned ealier that the car was at the local Ford dealership. They replaced the EEC relay and got it running that way. However, the wires are cut so its just running off the battery.
What happened originally is that I was jumping the car in the cold dead of winter after the car had sat for a month outside. That's when the green wire running off the starter solenoid burned. The wires were cut in an attempted repair. Ford said the EEC relay was corroded and probably caused the wire to burn in the first place. So, I think, correct me if I'm wrong, that the source of the problem is solved and now all I have to do replace the junked wires. The car runs quite well now by the way. They, Ford that is, did not want to fix the wires. They didn't want to replace them either because they said the parts would be very hard to find and it would cost about 4 hours labor. They advised me to go through a junkyard or find a resto type aftermarket vendor. Oh, and thanks for the spelling lesson. I told you I'm not a electrical expert...
