Default Which color RTV?

Should I use for the front cover?

91 Coupe: FMS 1 5/8 unqual shorty's, BBK off road X-pipe, Super Duty T5, Pro 5.0 short shifter, 2.73 rear, G3 alt, MSD coil, dist, no smog pump, oil cooler, 195K miles, 14 deg timing, 23 mpg city/29 mpg highway @ 65 mph.

I am one of those people who doesn't use silicone. I just put a little shellac in a few places to hold the gasket in place. Don't put it in those "hard to scrape" places though. Any of the silicone is fine, just as long as you don't put a 1/4" bead all the way around the gasket. That is way too much.

I use that Copper Gold named stuff, copper looking tube. ( I think thats what its called.) Works just fine.

I use the ultra black also because it is high heat and oil resistant. I use ultra blue for water areas.

I ended up using RTV gray - hi temp (6 hundred something), oil resistant. Thanks for the replies.
