Default wanting to make 350 to 400 hp from 351w any Ideas?

I have a stock 351w 2bbl out of an econoline van,ha ha ,yeah try not to laugh I got it for nothing .I would like to get somewhere between 350 to 400hp from it without changing the heads. My plan is then to take it and put it in the 93 4cly notchback that i own.Does anyone have any good ideas on a good combo of intake, carbs, cam, etc,to use?

Good cam, intake and carb will help alot. But....HP is in the heads.

A good set of cyl heads or port job make a BIG difference on the Windsor.

The '69-70 351w heads have 1.94/1.60 valves but it takes some searching to find some.

Rev had a set for sale that I think had even maybe been ported some. Look him up.

If I could do it all over again, I would spend money on a set of good heads first and then buy cam, intake, etc.....

I got TWO sets of them. One needs gone over BAD, the other set would prolly bolt on and go, although I'd get them checked out to be safe.

Good sized valves, decent ports, lots of meat for extra porting.

350-400 HP is an easy task on that Windsor without spending a zillion dollars. Find yourself a set of Dart Windsor Sr. heads (iron) usually around $700 ready to go. KILLER iron heads. Throw in an F303 cam, Torker II intake, 650 Holley and you're there!

uhhhh.. what is your intentions for the car???? To get that hp and NOT pull the heads is very hard. Scrap the heads, find a good set of heads.. $700.00 and put in a nice cam.. no problem.
