How do I hook up my tach wire with no 6al box?

What type of tach is it?? Is it factory in the dash tach or an add on??

More importantly, what CAR? Do we need a tach driver? Or are you still driving "old school" like myself? Old School is easy to hook up, but we need some more information.

Car?
Tach?
Ignition system?

That'll do it!!!

Sorry for the lack of info. It's a 5'' autometer. in a 89 5.0.

Hook the green wire to the neg. side of the coil. Black is ground. Red is 12v switch. White is the illumination wire. Hook this to a wire that is only hot when the lights are on.

thats exacly how mine is hooked up. the instructions help alot if you have them.

i have a 87 5.0 gt with mac shorty headers, off-road h-pipe, mac mufflers, transgo shift kit, msd blaster coil, and 3.73 gears. o yeah aod tranny.
