EFI wiring experts needed!
Alright guys, i'm putting a 91 302 and aod with efi from a mustang into my 65 F-100. I'm needing to find out what all the plugs are used for that hook up close to the computer, besides the computer plug of course! but there are two others, what do they go to, can they be wired up directly or do they have to go through something else, any help appreciated

Re: EFI wiring experts needed!
The big green connector is for the EEC power relay and is important. There is an always hot wire black/orange and an ignition controlled that activates and closes the EEC when you turn the ignition key.
The two wire gray connector with a black wire and light green with yellow strip is for courtesy lights, which may not be required in your setup. I hope this helps you, good luck! |

Re: EFI wiring experts needed!
The EEC relay R/LG wire is tied directly to the ignition switch. When the ignition switch is in the run position power is sent to the EEC relay, fuel pump intertia switch, and the TFI module for ignition. See the attached scan of schematic.

Re: EFI wiring experts needed!
Here's what runs through the EEC relay itself:
R/LG wire from the ignition switch BK/O wire from fuseable link located on hotside of starter selenoid BK/LG to EEC, O2 sensor, and Computer looks like pins 40&60 Red to computer ping 37 and fuel pump inertia switch(you may not need in your config) I would recommend getting a complete wiring guide, as you've got a lot of wiring to deal with in your conversion. I don't know if there's a step-by-step guide that walks you through the steps of converting to EFI from a carb setup. |

Re: EFI wiring experts needed!
well thanks for the help! your right i got a lot of work ahead of me .
i'm thinking i can just snip the connectors off the donor car and use it to keep things a little simpler. And easier to remove, Do you think a haynes repair manual would be easy to follow for this part of the wiring? And what about the other connector? sorry to ask so many questions! |

Re: EFI wiring experts needed!
Haynes repair manual will help you some, we've got one and it's got some of the wiring schematics, but I don't think it's complete. Check with the website tmoss recommended.
As far as the other connector, the gray one with two wires coming out? That is tied to the stang courtesy light circuit, you most likely will not need that one. |
