Default Steering problem.

When going down the road in my 88 GT the steering wheel moves from right to left making the car do the same, its about an inch each way and holding the wheel tightly wont stop it,any idea what I can do to fix this?

Sounds like a bent wheel or bad tire.

I hope that is what it is, is it possible that steering components could cause somthing like this?
