Projector headlights - wiring
I bought some projector headlights off ebay. You can tell they are cheaper quality because they didn't fit real well, the gaskets come unglued easily, and they fog up during a car wash. But anyway, they look good, and it doesn't do any good to complain because these ebay stores just buy whatever an auction it off.
Although everything came new in boxes there are no instructions. I can handle the install and the wiring but there is an inside switch included for the projector lights. The main bulbs operate on the stock high/low beam ( which were wired backwards on the lights...so the high beam setting actually is low beam...whatever, I can switch the wires) I suppose it would be handy to be able to turn the projectors on and off inside the car but then I thought maybe I would wire the relay so the projectors come on with the high beams. So my question is, how are these lights usually used? Are the projectors too bright for oncoming traffic if I have them on with the low beams? It would save the hassle of running all the wires up to the dash if I didn't use the inside switch.
