You really need a vacuum gauge to adjust the carb, 12 mpg not to bad, is the motor stock? When I did my swap I was getting less then 8 mpg around down with 2.73 gears, and I did everything imaginable to fix the problem, but nothing worked, I changed over to 3.73, I now get 11 around town and 24 on the highway. And that’s 5 gear 70 plus, with an occasional wheel spin out of the toll booth, Some times I wonder if everyone is totally honest when the post there mileage, and city driving is high teens, everyone I ever talked two all had one complaint, city mileage sucked. 15 and less. And 15 was granny driving.
