10 minutes at 2000 rpm with no or light load on the engine. Preferably light load, say in third gear on the highway. That should be sufficient to set the rings. Change the oil after the break-in and cut the filter apart for inspection.

I was told when you first get it running to get the engine revved up, fluctuating between 2000-3000rpm, for about 20 minutes. Then change the oil, and an easy 500-1000 miles after that. Then flog it, lol. It worked for me.

After the intial start up and cam run in, if it is a flat tappet cam, not a roller. Then run it like you would any other time. If you run'm hard....."drive it like you stole it". If you want to "baby" it, so be it. Personally.....myself.....I run the cam in, if it's a flat tappet. Then I just drive it normally, not letting it idle and get hot. Just drive the darn thing.

Like I said, 10 minutes at 2k with light load. After that, we'll take em straight to 7000rpm on the engine dyno. Once the rings are seated, that's all that is necessary if the engine has been built correctly.
