Nope! Missed it again. Had a few minor problems with the car, mainly timing. Anyways, best run of the day:

60' 1.49 (Woo Hoo!)
330' 4.553
660' 7.066 @ 98.38
1320' 11.06 @ 121.82

Man...that sucks!! I bet you can almost taste the 10's...huh?
Is there an extra 100lbs you can find somewhere to remove?
That would be enough to put you over the top....

Well...get that sheeeet out of there!
Get rid of those HEAVY factory seats and buy two plastic racing seats from Summit. Then, find some doors with manual windows and locks. There ya go.....10's!!
I was gonna say get rid of the tunes but that would just be plain cruel....LOL

wow, you're gettin close! Mind if I ask the combo? Also, what's it weigh?

I'm gonna go for broke (or 10's) in a couple weekends in mine. All I need is something less than the 85degree's and 90+% humidity that I'm used to racing in, and I should be set!

good luck,

-Drew

hoefully bigger than the "custom" one cam motion did for me. I supposed I shouldn't have told em it was somewhat of a street car, they made it too damn mild 230/234, .558/.565. I switched to an AFM N-91 and picked up over 2 tenths and 2mph with zero tuning on it!

From the looks of your launch in the sig, you might wanna look into an anti-roll bar to come out of the hole a little more efficiently.

good luck!

Yeah, I know what you mean there! That's how I ended up with my 274XE cam in my 351w. I think once you mention the word "street car", to a cam company, they instantly go into "mild" mode.
I must admit though, this XE cam has TONS of low-mid range torque.
My next cam is going to be a solid cam.

I'm still running a stock Duraspark distributor, and when you wind 'em up to 8,000 RPM they throw TONS of timing in. Vacuum is locked out, but the mechanical advance is getting weaker. Had 16* initial timing, and at 3,000 RPM the distributor was adding 54*!!!

So, needless to say, 60* total timing makes for a poor running engine.

Still haven't figured out what I'm going to do, but it looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and buy an MSD distributor. Don't wanna, love my duraspark, but it's lookin like I have to move on.

Thought of that too. Found a shop that can do it for me, but not before our track rental (Norwalk) this Friday.

I was thinking 32*-35* total, what's your input?
