Synthetic ATF is what Walt told me to run in my TKO. I can't imagine that a WC T5 is much different.

I wrote an e-mail to Royal Purple:

To: rpautotech@royalpurple.com
Cc: rpindtech@royalpurple.com
Subject: Automotive Questions

Hi. Which Royal Purple synthetic transmission fluid is
recommended for the application below:
1990 Ford Mustang GT
5-speed (manual) world class T-5 transmission
I believe that Dexron II ATF is recommended from the factory
but not 100% sure.
Do you recommend Synchromax, MAX ATF, or something else?

They replied the same day....

We recommend the Synchromax for this application.
Holds a bit less than 3 quarts.

Hell, if Royal Purple and Pro Motion BOTH say to use Synchromax (Why can't I ever spell that correctly???) then go for it!!!

That's what I run in the TKO, and I've had ABSOLUTELY 100% ZERO problems with this tranny!!!!
