Default How much HP is needed to gain about 4 tenths?

Ok, as some of you may or may not know from last year, I was trying to break into the 12's but ran into a proverbial "brick wall" at 13.3@104mph.
I have a NOS system to install this winter but would like to run 12's N/A and was wondering about how much HP I would need to crack the 12's......30-40?

Now, my best 60' time was a crappy 1.92(with M/T slicks).
Do you think a torque converter change alone will do it?
I currently have a 2400-2500 stall converter but I want to get a 3500 stall to help my 60' times.
I was also considering 1.7 roller rockers as well.
I don't know if my new fuel system will gain me any E.T(haven't been to the track since then).
What do you guys think would be my best bet to get that extra 3-4 tenths?
My ultimate goal is to run mid 11's with the nitrous and mid 12's N/A
I'm open for suggestions.

Ok, I am not able to actually answer your exact question. But I am curious on the 60 foot times. Are u spinning a whole lot in there? Who is your TC made by?

If you could get your 60' down to 1.70's...that'll probably do it. Is your engine bogging? Tire spin? Foot brakin' or flashing the converter??

I was told by my friend that I was bogging. I would come off the line well and then it would fall on it face and then take off hard again.
RYAN, I have a TCI converter.

Ok- my first thought is do you feel ur combo is tuned well? If she seems to be stumbling I would think you have a lot to gain there.

I am not sure if u like ur TC, but I bet you would benefit from a better TC. I dont have much experience with them, but from what I have read the B&M and TCI do not always stall where they should. To get a good TC though, u are lookin at almost enough cash to get yourself even better flowin heads.

Personally, I think the hesitation or stumble you have would be the first priority.

Get rid of the stumble first. We were talking about squirters and such for that.

Then his MPH was a bit low, which tells me the engine ain't getting it done on the big end, ie new fuel system.

Let all this white shyt melt, and we'll get her in the 12's, no worries man.

Yeah, stumble is a carb tuning issue - lots of things to tweak (assuming a Holley), squirters, pump cam, pump volume, air bleeds, power valve (if you have one), boosters, etc, etc
