Anderson PMS opinions...

Anybody have any comments on this thing?

I really like the idea of on the fly programming and real time monitoring. It also is expandable to accomodate a blower...
The EGT option seems good too.

Any other recommendations would be appreciated...

it is the most widely used tuner in the NMRA for a reason. VERY easy to learn, and very user friendly. There are numerous 8 second Renegade cars that use(d) it. I use the EPEC in my car, and it works nicely, but I'm still learning things on it, and it's kind of a pain to fire up the laptop everytime I need to make a change.

You can usually find used PMS's for about $500 or less on the boards, I'm pretty sure there's 1 or 2 for sale as we speak over on the classifieds on stangcrazy.net

If you can't tell, I'd definately recommend it for ya!

Does the PMS do Speed Density? I know Hozer converted but I have not.......

I don't believe it does, but the conversion isn't too complicated. Or you could look at a FAST or AEM setup, those are both speed density types

this one is for sale for $425 on stangcrazy, I'm sure one of you guys knows this person. My question is this appears to be a much older model, so does it lack many features of the newer ones?

The older one still works very well, but doesn't have the neat little "gameboy" controller

Check out andersonfordmotorsport.com for the differences. The new one is a better unit for sure, but for $425 this one would be hard to pass up. I think the new ones are like $899. You can also have this one upgraded at a later date.

btw, I'm not sure about that guy posting the PMS, never seen the name
