Default MASS air flow question..

On a 1990 coupe. What i have is a chrome pro-flow 75mm housing, and sensor, calibrated for the 24's i have on the car.
The electronic pro-flow sensor part went bad, because it would'nt run right.

when i put on my factory oem sensor on, onto the 75mm housing, it runs fine, just turned some 12 sec times with it actually.
My question is, will this totally ruin the calibration, and cause performance loss?
will ecu think i have 19lb injector's?
If so, do i order one from pro-flow or somewhere else? how about a 93 cobra sensor?

Thanx alot fellas.

I am not familiar with the pro-flow sensor. Does it use sample tubes? If it does you are fine if not get the correct electronics.

Dont use a 93 cobra sensor unless you are using a 93 cobra ecu. The 93 cobra sensor is actually calibrated for 19# injectors and the 93 cobra ecu makes it work with the 24# injectors.

What it is actually is a pro-m, i believe the pro-flow was the name of the electronic part, It looks as though it has a sample tube, but it might just be a part that takes in air, and it may not be removeable.
the old sensor had "24" scratched into it, so im assuming i need that part, or something like it... thanx
btw, friend of mine might sell me his old setup, but it's an old school flanged pro-m 77 cal'd for 24's with the big nasty filter on the end, and i would have to get rid of my fenderwell cai for that, but oh well i'll figure something out, thnx again.

Our computers have the ability to tune themselves for A/F within +/- 12.5%.

By using the factory MAS you are most likely digging into that adaptive ability.

However, when you hit wot the computer cannot make adjustments. In wot the car runs strictly from the tables without any feedback from the O2s.

I would pick up the right part, because at wot you don't know what is happening with your a/f. You could be slitghtly rich, or worse slightly lean.

My car seems to be rich at idle, no smoke, but it can water my eyes, probaly due to having no tailpipes, fuel at 38psi wot, also an o-r x-pipe, wot seems alright, especially with some good fuel, all in all it has no drivability problems, and muchh better than the 73mm vortech unit i had.
Where would i get the right part? pro-flow site is down, and pro-m charges 100$ to do anything with it?
Think i might ask this shop down the street, they are big on tuning mustang computers and such, and that would be "murrillo", probaly gonna cost me something either way.

I believe pro-m went out of business. All you need is some 24# electronics. Check Ebay.

Proflow does work on the ProM meters, as ProM is out of business.

This is going to cost you.

If taking the dyno tune route, atleast consider investing in a tuner and tuning the car yourself.

Yea, well www.massairsystems.com has nothing but pro-m products, and im pretty sure most of these guys were the old pro-m employees.

Looks like im going to have to settle with a used 77mm pro-m but my friend had a large nitrous backfire through it, blew the filter up, nothing major, still worked good (with a new filter), but he upgraded to an 80mm and some 30's....thanx alot, i'll let you guys know what happens.
btw, I would try the electronics off this 77mm, but you know it's calibrated for a 77, and not a 75.....later
