Jester's Rules to race by!
MODS!!!! Not sure where to put this, so move it/delete it as you see fit! THANK YOU!
I spend most of my time in this forum, and these guys know me, so I figgured this would be the best place for it. These are racin "rules" I've learned over the years. I've share ALOT of them with members of this board. Take them for what they're worth. MOST of them pertain to racing in general, more specific to drag racing. Most of them are things I've overheard at racetracks, garages, and parking lots over the years, and tested on my own. This is literally 50+ years of knowledge from myself, my Dad, my grandpa, and my uncles. Mostly THEM, not ME! LOL My Dad is an old school roundy-round dirt guy, and I learned most of them from him, but I've made a few of my own. Those that know me here, are MORE THAN welcome to add as need be!! Like I said, MODS, PLEASE move this to where you think it should be! THANKS! Without further adoo: -Fat is safe, Lean is FAST! -Brake Specific Fuel Consumption! Learn it, Know it, Live it, LOVE it! -NEVER assume the idiot that worked on it before you knew what he was doing!!!! NEVER! -Don't fear the gear! -Don't TAKE nitrous advice -Don't GIVE nitrous advice -If it ain't right, LEAVE IT IN THE PITS! -It may suck at times, but as mechanics, WE ALWAYS WIN! -Black is best, not hot pink. -Keep your friends close, keep your enemies CLOSER. -Answer ANY question truthfully, but don't volunteer any info. -The TRUTH shall set you free!

Re: Jester's Rules to race by!
My two favorites are always gonna be the "fat is safe.." and "dont fear the gear"

Working on a friend's Stang last night, with soot all over the rearend/gastank area, this thing was PIG FAT at one point in it's life. Whilst laying under there, I modified the "fat is safe" rule. LOL Well maybe just an addendum to it. Lean is Fast, Fat is safe, but Obese is Obscene! LOL
