Please Help, Just Pulled Motor Apart And Now Ive Got A New Problem
when i start the car it instantly revs to about 3000rpm. im thinking vaccum leak, but im not 100% sure.
i didnt use any silicon or any sealer on the intake gaskets(from heads to lower intake) could that be a problem? i did last time but forgot to this time. any other thoughts?

Re: Please Help, Just Pulled Motor Apart And Now Ive Got A New Problem
If this revving problem just started after you did the gasket change, I would have to suspect a vacuum leak. Did you use a torque wrench?
PKRWUD has posted some great posts regarding checking for vacuum leaks, if you cant find them I have them saved to my hard drive at home.

the intake wasnt seated properly and was sucking air from the lifter valley, all is good now though
