Nitrous Question
With 60 shot runs great no sputter or anything, tried to go to 125 shot 42 psi fuel pressure and it came on STRONG but started sputtering at high rpm, not detonation or backfiring , but like pop, pop, pop, timing was at 11* went to 9* same thing, in fact i think it backfired through the top end (no damage), tried 90 shot same thing ??
I have a 190 lph pump, crane Hi-6 Ing. box, wet system with 1 nozzle at T.B. Plugs looked ok def not rich, should I jack up the fuel presssure?? Help I'm supposed to go to strip on Sun.!!

Re: Nitrous Question
Could my plugs be too hot?
I'm running autolite 3923's as per AFR's recommended starting point, I know nothing about heat ranges of plugs but these are long shank so autolite 24's I was running won't work. I picked up some NGK - 8's?? dude said it was a pretty cold plug? BTW I figure compression at 10-1, 10.25-1

Re: Nitrous Question
Sounds like to much plug gap. Try closing the gap by .005 to start and decrease by .005 till your miss goes away. Retart timing 2 degrees for every 50 hp.

Re: Nitrous Question
I installed a remote fuel press guage, On the squirt you need to maintain 80psi.
Those headers seem a little large wesser?

Re: Nitrous Question
Try gapping your plugs at 30. Nitrous creates a lot of cylinder pressure so a good spark is a must. We had the same problem a long time ago and made it go away by closing up the plug gap. If 30 does not work go to 28. If your problem presists you may need to upgrade your ignition. Back when we were running mid 11's, with all stock modified parts we found that 30# injectors with stock fuel pressure seemed to work best. If you run a wet system you can add fuel through the fuel jet. Too much fuel will also create a miss.
