SCT BA2400 meter and 42# injectors.
This is what my tuner told me to buy for my 331 stroker it should make between 430-460 flywheel HP naturally aspirated.
If anyone has anything negative to say speak up before I drop 500 bux on this crap.

Good choice, it'll give you some room to grow when you decide you need more power. What's your combo going to consist of?

Re: SCT BA2400 meter and 42# injectors.
I had a custom cam in my 302 and I didnt think it was worth the cash.
I invested in some engine simulation programs and that how i came up with my cam choices.

Re: SCT BA2400 meter and 42# injectors.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that IMO, 42's are a bit over kill if your staying N/A 331. You usually don't want to run injectors below 20% and above 85% duty cycle. I run the 30lb's and my PMS reports that I barely hit 65% at times in WOT.
I typed in your 460hp N/A car with 42lb injectors on the websites fuel analyzer and this is what is came back with. I understand this is based on a stock compression 302, but it's still going to be the general idea. Hope this helps. Total fuel consumption under wide open throttle: 230 lbs/hr Minimum fuel pump volume required: 138 L/hr Optimum fuel pump volume required: 165 L/hr Injector size needed at stock pressure (40 psi): 33 lb/hr Pressure required on current injectors to simulate needed size: 24 PSI Your current injector status is: OVER INJECTED

BUT...... My tuner told me to buy these parts so I did. He assures me that tuning it will be easy money and I will have room to grow. I overkilled everything on the new build and only bought the best parts. After this I hope to actually spend money on stuff like rims and paint.

Re: SCT BA2400 meter and 42# injectors.
There's virtually no such thing as over injected. The pulsewidth is only going to be what is required to deliver the amount of fuel necessary to match the amount of incoming air. That's how we can put 60# injectors in a blown 4.6l and still have it idle and drive like a dream.
I'm a fan of having more than enough when it comes to fuel. I've had 331 customers with 30# and 36# injectors run out of fuel. I'd rather encourage them to buy a 90mm LMAF and 42# right out of the box than have to tell them that they spent money on 36# and it still wasn't enough. Look at it this way, the 03-04 Cobra was rated at less HP than Coupe is shooting for here and it came stock from the factory with 39#. Also, you NEVER want to run an injector at LESS pressure than it was designed to flow at. The spray pattern can be drastically affected. I tell most of my customers to forget about adjustable fuel pressure regulators. If we've got it tuned properly they should never have to touch the fuel pressure or timing.

Re: SCT BA2400 meter and 42# injectors.
The fuel analyzer is correct, for the most part. What it may not be figuring is safety factors, fuel pump voltage, etc. Its in the ballpark, but there's a ton more variables that make every car and every combination a little different.
