Default clutch quadrant query

i pushed my clutch pedal down about 10 blocks from my house last night at 1:30 in the morning. my clutch no longer disengages. my 90 gt had a billet quad already installed. i'm not sure on the stock setup how you remove the cable from the quadrant. i can't really see it. i'm gonna go with the steeda billet quadrant and i remember seeing a post not that long ago on the cable situation. any suggestions would be great. thanks.

I've run the BBK quadrant for years now with no problems. Good luck.

bought the steeda double hook and steeda cable at cj's today. hope this isn't a super pain. i'm slightly concerned about getting under the dash. can somebody tell me how the cable attaches to the top of the stock quadrant. i'm not sure how to release it.

When you get under there you'll see it's pretty easy to come out, you should be able to pull the clutch pedal out just a bit to take the tension off and pull the cable out of the quadrant.

FWIW I havn't changed mine yet but I belive I read an artical in a mag that said to access the locking pawl through the firewall and push it off it's shaft?
The small piece is the locking pawl.
You don't reuse it as I guess you already know.

that's actually exactly what i did, the locking pawl didn't seem to have enough clearance, but after a little finessing with the dremel, i practically jumped off. the job overall wasn't bad at all. I'm very pleased with the new quadrant and cable it feels great. If only this damn cold weather would go away thanks for the info.
