Default Gear noise in Tranny

Everytime after I shift into second, the first bit if acceleration in 2nd you hear some gear noise/vibration. Definitely is not right. might this be a synchro going bad? or just old age? original tranny; car has 114k miles on a 1990. thanks.

it's probably synchro I had it happen in my 87 before I got rid of it.
