Default Are Moser/Stange axles available in 28 spline?

If so are they strong enough for 11.00 or slower car?
I'm trying to keep my trac-loc and keep rebuiding it as the car sees little stip action, but I dump the clutch at 5000 on ET Streets and will soon hit it with 150 shot of gas after it's tuned for it ,although I'll probably hit gas after I shift to 2nd, until I can't resist leaving on it
I need to go soon it's getting warm arond here and I have no timeslips with new motor.

I used to run Superior 28 spline axles a while back, but it was a low 12-second car at the time.

If you're going to be putting that much power to it, I'd at least step up to a 31 spline trac-loc out of a truck

What year/model truck?
Wonder what the stock gear would be?
I didn't know there was a 31 sline Trac-Loc.
Thanks fiveohpatrol that might be the cheapest way to go and gain some strenth.Would you suggest the 28's if I can't get a truck diff?

88workcar I know you beat on yours so the stock 28's were strong enough for a while in you opinion as I may not find a truck unit at a yard and I'm not buying one from ford, I only get 1 paycheck a week

They where fine, for the last 10 years, and good to 11.60s for me. My trac loc, I rebuilt it every 20,000 miles or so with a kit from Pyle Bros Perf Diff, in Houston TX. I allows you to put 4 clutches per side and a HEAVY duty truck spring in the center. I loved it. Now I have a spool and 33s. Moving the car around the house is a Bitch.

I'm not sure of the models to get them from, but I actually think some explorers had them too. You might try searching a bit over on the corral, I'm sure it's been covered there a bunch.

You would likely be okay with some aftermarket 28's, but you're risking a lot by doing so. If you don't use c-clip eliminators, the potential damage from breaking an axle will cost MUCH more than a good diff & 31 spline axles now. Just something to think about.

I got my 31 spline trac loc off of ebay for $75.00. 1.57-1.65 60fts all day long.

Glad to see that someone else had to redo the limited slip every 20,000 miles or so. Mine is an 8" with only 350-375 hp with a C-4 and 3.25's. Still, I thought that was too often. I now use an Auburn Pro with only slightly better results. I guess if we're going beat on them, there will be some pay back.
