noisy valvetrain???????
Can a bad lifter sound like it is rocker noise. The reason i ask is that i have tried everything with my rockers to quiet them down and nothing has worked. I have adjusted everyway you cant hink of. The noise occurs when the motor is warm. Not while it is cold. it occurs around 1200 to 2200 rpms. Think it could be a bad lifter?

From my experience with noisy valvetrains, and correct me if I'm wrong guys, is that a sticky lifter would make noise at any given RPM. I have a tick (my engine does actually) that is present from startup on, sometimes quieting down and sometimes a bit louder. I took a screwdriver to the valve covers but still couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. I'm still somewhat hoping exhaust. When I swap intakes, I may just have to check out the valvetrain as well. Good luck. Let us know how you remedy the noise.

Are you sure its not the injectors that you are hearing? I know mine make a lot of noise.

My fuel injectors are also real noisy sometimes. I can only hear them at a lower RPM (2500 and below) but I'm not sure if they are still making noise above that because it gets real loud from the exhaust. Put the screwdriver on the injector and see what happens. I'll bet that's where the noise is coming from.

I have the factory injectors, they make that much noise??? the crappy part is with the acoustics of the engine compartment, i cant hear it from under the hood, its only when I have my door open i can hear it coming from what appears to be under the drivers side of the stang.
