My dash caught on fire
Guys last night i guess my dash cought on fire around the spedo cluster. it burnt throught the window. We dont know if it was a short or arson. If it was a short would my house insurance pay for it since i dont have full coverage on the car. it really sux because it the whole dasn is gone, the headliner is, the sterring wheel, and the windows look like i have window tint now. So could someone tell me if my house insurance will pay for it. Thank you very much.

Very doubtful your homeowners would cover it, unless it was specifically noted on your policy...

It sounds like your ignition switch cought on fire. Did you have the recall done on that switch?

yup it really hurts!! its like ill get something fixed, then ill drive it for maybe a week then its something else. It was wrecked, then new tranny, waterpump, steering rack, steering pump. it seems like it is always something. So i think after i fix this ill sell it. insurance wont pay for it so im screwed. so do any of you think a short could have started it on fire? thanks to all that of you that have replied. everyone on MW is great!!!!

I think you can take the VIN # to a dealer and have them run it to see if it's been replaced.
