Thumbs up Head valve covers

Well my heads came today, and I would like to get some new covers, looking for something decent, not too expensive, but need quality. And if possible some color. I just want reminder of the money I put into these heads without seeing those darn stock covers, if anyone knows what I mean. Thanks, I am going for the silver and red theme under the hood, if this helps....

Rick 91GT,

I was looking at those in the Summit catalog, the red would be perfect for me. But one rookie question, if for some odd reason you lose some oil in between changes, where do you pour the oil? And in the Summit catalog, it says stands required when using a breather, talk to me, what does this mean?

I have the red on my car. You need to buy the breather stand for a push in breather. You will use a hole saw to cut a hole for the breather stand and it all goes together nicley, the direction are easy to understand. After I used the holw saw I had to take a file to make mine fit perfect and tight. The breather stand has to screens in it so the oil will not make it up the breather, you need to cut the top screen out and install a gromet, I use the 1-1/4" Mr.Gasket models with the baffle in the bottom, then you just push your breather in to that, very easy. I like the covers but get a set of ROL's gaskets, I like my FMS stell core one but I am having a problem with it starting to leak, the ROL's are great from what I hear and they are cheaper $9.00 each. Shoot me e-mail if you can I'll send you some pic's rhawver@strouse.com.

I have the polished "cobra" dress up kit from Ford racing, comes with valve covers, breather, and intake plaque that we don't need. I just don't think my rockers will fit......but will find out soon.

gray87GT - I have the cobra covers, these are taller and the cobra rockers will fit.
Because these are taller if you use the stock intake or the GT40 intake you need the "Phenolic Plenum spacer". The Cobra intake fits without the spacer.

Rick 91GT:

I tried to write like three times, but everytime the postamaster says it won't go through. If you could could you sne me the pics at either Charmer28@msn.com or Racinstang01@aol.com. I have a few questions yet on the grommet, baffle, breather, and yes cutting a hole in the cover, hmmm. Thanks I would appreciate it.
