Car lifted finally
And im gonna try and NOT do it again.
beat my 1.71 60' with a 1.700, not a big difference, but I actually felt the car carry over to the rightside wall, ran a 13.00 @ 104? was it the lift? 5k launch? was a hotlap, but i need consistency. Cant figure out why the mph is down? newest mods: I put the battery in the trunk, and got some vert motor mounts, D/s loop, also installed the trick flow valve springs in place of the comp cams ones I had. Ran another run but missed 3rd been a while for that to happen, but that launch was around 4k, felt like a 12 sec run, was not used to the pro tree, so i just flashed the gas real quick, I Might need a shift light. 10 psi in the slicks. some guys asked me how i get it to launch like "that" and "what kind of springs in the rear" I laughed and told them it was the stock 17 yr old ones, with lakewood 50/50 rear/ monroe oem's front. Wish i had some tokico's in the front.

Re: Car lifted finally
Make sure you didn't rip a bushing on the rear control arms. I had that problem a lot and then put solid control arms in and started launching straight. I figured the subframe connectors would have provented it but once the cage gets in, I won't have to worry about it. Congrats on lifting though.

But the tubular subframes i have, seem to still allow the body to twist, I have welded axle tubes, but I know my upper control arm bushings are toast, and possiby one of the lowers. I was more concerned with the mph being down, but I will be seeing a dyno soon I hope, I know my Fuel psi is probaly not right on, track was too crowded to run multiple tune passes. until next time guys.

Re: Car lifted finally
Man did I call that or what! The bushings will start ripping once you start hooking hard, and then it's a domino efffect, we hook harder, so we rip bushings, we put better bushings in, then we break the tranny, we beef up the trans and break an axle, beef up the axles and only to break the diff, beef up the diff only to break the axle housing, so on and so on. LOL, anyway, UPR sales some good chrome moly control arms. Good luck.
