You can do alot with 2G's

You could buy a supercharger!!

or

Heads/cam/intake

or

Exhaust/gears/suspension

Is this going to be a drag car or a cruiser? 5 speed or auto?

control arms, 3.73-4.10 gears, slicks and exhaust would be the way to go.IMO

No point in addinh HP if you cant put it to the ground.

add a good aftermarket shifter, some GT40P heads with fresh springs since you'll be doing long tubes and system anyway, and an Explorer intake.

I agree 100%.

But do some subframe connectors welded in.
And I always said, my aluminum driveshaft helped, less drivetrain weight= quicker rev's, then again, they went UP 100$ since then, so exhaust should come before the driveshaft.

good luck.

At the very least, sub frame connectors FIRST. You do not have to spend big money on the pretty ones. 2X2 tubing works well. Also a rebuild on the rear chunk, 100.00 will get you close to posi, and last for years, then suspention. More motor = more spinning. Drag car means LEAVING HARD don't forget that. Good luck ask many questions
