need some 351 opinions
so heres my dilema, i have two mustangs, an 89 notch with a junky 4cyl....and a 95 GT with a 306, which one should I stuff the 351 in? or should i just take the 306 up to 331 and build another 302 to pop in the notchback? i'll take any manner of suggestion...thanks for the help ya'll.

Re: need some 351 opinions
yeah, i love the look of the cowls on notchbacks, i just dont want the 4 inch one, it seems way to over the top, im wanting to keep it sleek and clean appearing. so just for my taste the 2.5 or 3 is the highest, but yeah i need to figure out the mounts, thats really the deal holding me back, and im going carbed. but yeah thanks for the wisdom bro.

Re: need some 351 opinions
Its easy to fit a carb'd 351 under a stock hood But pretty damn hard to fit an EFI under a stock hood.
You should have any trouble with a small cowl hood.

Re: need some 351 opinions
Not to mention the weight advantage of the coupe over that GT.

Re: need some 351 opinions
yeah, ive definately thought about the weight difference, and i would really rather go EFI with the 351 just because i always hear its much easier to tune an EFI more accurately than it is a carbed car. I was going to get new heads and intake for the 95, but i was also thinking about just getting the setup for the 351 and putting it in there, since id just need to switch the lower intake and it would mate to the trick flow upper, but yeah, im a perfectionist, and i have too many options lol. its horrible, thats why i was asking what to do. and thanks again to everyone posting replies.

Re: need some 351 opinions
I would put the 351 in the notch, then you would have 2 v8 cars!
I would also put the dugan racing 1.5 cowl hood on the notch and fat tires on all 4 corners... hoods

Re: need some 351 opinions
i would put the 351 in the notch and a small cowl hood. the big ones make it to hard to see. and also go with a carb. they are so much easier to work on and tune.

Re: need some 351 opinions
deff not easy to tune a efi without a programable computer...yea u can get one to run eaiser but the computer doesnt know if ur running 11 to 1 compression and u cant run a tight lobe seperation angle so it can breath better.carbed is just seting timing ,curve and total timing and jetting the carb.u dont have to worrie about the timing retarding or the injectors not pulsing correctly.

Re: need some 351 opinions
351w will not fit under stock hood of the notch.. unless you use drop motor mounts.
