Default Fox Body Rebuild

Hello, if you are wondering about my screen name it speaks for itself. A year ago I hit a 1000lb Bull going about 115mph. It has come time to finaly take the CowKiller Mustang and bring it back to life. Okay, After I assessed the damage of the car. "FRAME IS STRAIGHT!" I basicaly needed a new engine. I came across a 73 mustang 302 block. I scooped it up and now I need advise on how to build a very MEAN street/strip attention getter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Shopping list thus far:

Ford Racing GT40P aluminum Heads. $479.05
Crane Cams 448031, 3200-7000RPM $359.95
Barry Grant 1282010VE 650 Speed Demon 2barrel Carb. $420
EdelBrock Performer Lower Intake Manifold. $251.95
Eagle 5400CB sir I-beam Rods 5.400" $285.95
Scat 43023 Crankshaft 3.400" stroke $561.95

the price for the heads are the price for each head so ur lookin at a grand.i would get a better set of heads then thoes afr, trick flow, edlebrock there only a few hundred more..if you are going to get a cam to rev to 7000 ur gonna need a victor jr intake.idk if u meant to say a 2bbl carb but ur gonna need a 4bbl 650 to 750.i have had 3 different carbs on my 347 and the quick fuel q series 750 is by far the best.ps if ur gonna rev it to 7grand dont use the factory style hydrolic roller lifters cuz they bleed out at 6200,u have to get good ones or go to a solid roller.make sure u buy the right parts the first time.u dont wanna go and buy shit just to buy it, u have to buy it cuz u know it will work for ur set up.if u just go and buy stuff u wont be happy with the performance

Yeah, thats what I am trying to do, is do it right the first time. I want to find a set of gt40p head castings and build my own heads. I cant seem to find the castings anywhere. So basicaly your saying the 650 "2bbl" carb wont be enough?

well basically every thing u listed..like the intake is too small for the cam u want ,the carb u listed is only a 2bbl and for the money i would get better heads then thoes unless u get a crazy good deal...

i personally wouldnt go back to efi unless i had one of those aem programmable computers or what ever there called.i love carbs and they work really good if u buy a good brand, then if i change intake or cam all i have to do is go to the track and mess around with jet sizes and its tuned.and working on it is even eaiser, the intake takes about 3 min to remove.i do miss the gas millage that i had with efi , but its a mustang so u cant really put a price on that
