Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. I hooked up my MSD 6BTM about 2 months ago, and haven't had a single problem. Of course, I soldered & heat-shrinked each and every connection. Nothing is exposed or left to chance. Even the grounds are soldered to the EEC-IV's harness grounds, the battery itself, AND the chassis of the car! If you used "crimp" connectors, they need to be removed and replaced with soldering. No questions about that. Also, I did mount my MSD box behind the driver's seat, so mebbe that has SOMETHING to do with it...then again, I drive this car every single day, so....unless I got incredibly lucky, I think MSD's reputation for producing a quality product is still well intact.
