That sucks..but can't you find used doors for cheaper? Any T-top or convertible door will work.

Nope. $350 a piece seems to be the going rate. Does anyone know where they could be found cheaper? The thing that really gets me is that it will not make the car any faster!

A buddy of mine is putting together a 88 LX with t-tops. Both doors were hammered when he got the car. We went to a swap meet a few weeks ago and he found doors with interior panels and everything mint for 150 for the pair!!! It was a lucky day, though. I also found the T-5 I just put in my car for 150 bucks, and the thing is like brand new out of a 90. It shifts perfect and is as quiet as a sleeping baby. I guess just keep your eyes open at local swap meets and the paper and you could find them a he!! of a lot cheaper than that...

Check out.

This is a large number of salvage yards that get together and post there inventory online. They all have different prices, but i found an entire leather interior for my daily driver in there for like $375 plus shipping.

I didn't find any there. Thanks though. Does anyone know where I can find some in the Neveda Las Vegas area?

Those t-tops doors are silly expensve. Mine are a little rusty and I checked them out as well.

A swap meet, or private classified ad look to be the best route.

heres a solution to the expensive ttop/convt doors if you are willing to do the work. Go and buy a set of regular hardtop doors, cut the window channel off. The install the ttop glass and trim pieces onto the coupe door, and you now have a very inexpensive ttop door, I did this on my 84 and you can not even tell, a friend of mine did it on his 86 too. GOOD LUCK

Well thanks LOCASH, sorry but I have no pics of the car. Its pretty easy to do, but even easier since you have a pre 87 car, the mirrors are in the same postion on ttops and hardtops for the 86 and earlier cars. This is how I did it. First get your 83-86 doors. Then remove the mirrors, trim piece near the back of the door (right by the belt molding) With these pieces removed you will be able to see exactly where to cut off the window channel on the hardtop door. Once that is cut, test fit your orginal trim pieces and drill the necessary holes. Drill the rivets out for the Hardtop glass and slip in your original glass. And you are done and now have a set of super cheap ttop doors. GOOD LUCK
