![]() Hey! I've encountered an oil leak that will not go away!! It is where you screw in the oil pressure gauge sending unit... I have tried teflon tape, but that didn't work, should I just use alot more?? Or do you know of a better thing to use to stop leaks??

![]() I would suggest trying a new sending unit. Its kinda hard to help without seeing first hand. Are the parts the proper size, eg. the male part is proper size thread for the female.

![]() Teflon tape should work fine. Did you put it on the right way? I have pipe dope on mine.

![]() if the teflon tape is not working, try some teflon based thread sealent (made by either loctite or permatex). Comes in a tube and works great - I've used it on fittings for years. Just remenber to use it in moderation as it doesn't take much to sufficiently coat the threads.
